A Commonwealth tradition for 31 years, the Governor’s Awards for the Arts are the state’s highest recognition for contributions in the arts and are presented to Pennsylvania artists, arts organizations and arts patrons. They will be presented in Erie at the historic Warner Theatre on Thursday, September 20, 2012. The day’s festivities will take place at various arts & cultural locations in the region and include a public celebration of the arts, awards ceremony and after party. The event is hosted by the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership and the Erie Downtown Arts and Culture Coalition and coordinated by local volunteers.
