Charlotte P. Mashyna

Charlotte Mashyna joined ArtsErie as Executive Director in 1999 after serving on the Board of Trustees in various capacities since the early 1990s. Under Char’s direction, ArtsErie has grown in both size and scope, administering arts funding and advocacy to multiple counties throughout Pennsylvania. Char also coordinates CultureSpark with Robert F. Wooler, Director of The Nonprofit Partnership.
Char has her BA in History from Wheaton College in Norton, MA. Prior to joining ArtsErie, Char was Vice President of the Private Client Group for National City.
M. Holly Nowak
Arts in Education Director

Holly Nowak was named Program Manager for Arts in Education with responsibilities for the 11-county Arts in Education Partnership in June of 2004. Prior to being named to her current position, Holly was the Regrant Coordinator for ArtsErie and served as a Directory Artist with the Arts in Education Partnership. Holly has both her Bachelor of Fine Art and Master of Art degrees from Edinboro University.
Barbara K. Weber

Barbara Weber joined ArtsErie in November 2009 as the Program Associate for the United Fund. Her prior experience includes working as the Director of Development of the expERIEnce Children’s Museum and Admissions Specialist at Erie Day School. She also worked in the advertising industry and has had her own consulting business specializing in marketing, advertising and event planning. She is past member of the Junior League of Erie, and served as Board President for the expERIEnce Children’s Museum and the Lake Erie Ballet.
Allison Counasse

Allison Counasse joined ArtsErie as Program Associate for Marketing in January 2009. She is responsible for marketing and public relations for ArtsErie; CultureSpark, the year-long cultural planning process for Erie County; and local activities for The Big Read, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts.
Allison graduated from Gannon University with a bachelor's degree in Communications-English and received certificates in publishing from New York University and in creative and feature film writing from UCLA Extension. Previously, she worked in corporate and technology marketing for 11 years.
Soña Hernandez

Soña Hernandez joined ArtsErie as the Program Associate for Member Services in January 2011. In this role, she is responsible for managing and growing the ArtsErie Member Services program throughout the county by actively recruiting new members and conducting annual renewal campaigns for current members, refining and improving upon member benefits. She will be involved in implementing CultureSpark recommendations as well as facilitating special projects including the Arts and Economic Prosperity IV and Local Arts Index. Soña comes to ArtsErie with an extensive background in sales and management from the preventive health care industry, holding degrees in nutrition and business management. Ms. Hernandez has recently relocated to Erie from Southern California and is also a holistic coach and yoga instructor at Yoga Erie.
Melinda Meyer
Program Associate, Art in Action

Melinda Meyer joined the ArtsErie staff in August 2010 as the Art in Action Program Associate, a position created when ArtsErie was awarded a $1.1 million, 4-year Department of Education Arts in Education Development and Dissemination Grant. Melinda assists with oversight of the project and grant administration.
Melinda graduated from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, with a B.A. in History, and will receive her MBA from Gannon University in May 2011. Prior to joining the ArtsErie staff, Melinda spent 10 years in the museum profession and continues to be active in the local museum community.
