Meet the Teaching Artists
Professional Teaching Artists are the essence of the Arts in Education (AIE) program. These individuals are talented professional artists of all disciplines, whose creativity and imagination have the potential to enrich a learning experience and change lives. Teaching Artists share their expertise and creativity with small core groups of students in schools, in childcare centers or with adults in community and senior centers. When the artist is working with these individuals, or in "Residence," they take on the roll of mentor, facilitator and technical adviser guiding the participants through a series of lessons to reach their goals.
ArtsErie implements and oversees the AIE program in: Cameron, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango and Warren counties on behalf of the PA Council on the Arts (PCA).
