Educational Improvement Tax Credits

Through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC), which began in 2001, Pennsylvania provides tax credits to eligible businesses that contribute to an Educational Improvement Organization, such as ArtsErie, through our artist residency program.

Tax credits equal 75% of the contribution. Eligible businesses may claim up to $300,000 per taxable year. The credits must be applied against the tax liability of a business within the contribution year.

ArtsErie recognizes and thanks the following businesses that, by participating in the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, contributed to our Artist Residency program.
   • C.A. Curtze Company
   • Erie Insurance
   • First National Bank
   • Highmark
   • MacDonald Illig Jones & Britton
   • Northwest Savings Bank
   • PNC
   • Scott Enterprises

By helping us place teaching artists in classrooms, their support helped teachers infuse art into learning and imroved students’ creativity and motivation.

Please note: The status of this program depends upon current budget legislature, which has proposed to decrease funding for Pennsylvania's tax-credit programs.
