ArtsErie Project Grants


ArtsErie project grants provide funding for art performances, projects and exhibits in Erie County. Applications are accepted annually and reviewed by an independent allocations panel with ratification by ArtsErie Board of Trustees. Grants are due annually on August 15th.

Project grants of varying amounts are available from three funds:

  • Arts education projects may receive between $500 and $2,500 from the Virginia Vieser Arts Education Fund.
  • Projects involving music performance may apply for $500 to $5,000 from the Clarence E. Beyers Music Performance Fund.
  • Projects of any artistic discipline may apply for $500 to $5,000 from the ArtsErie Unrestricted Project Fund.

 

Eligibility

  • The applicant’s principal office/activities must be located in Erie County, PA.
  • The project must occur in Erie County, PA.
  • The organization must be tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3), as demonstrated by a copy of the applicant's IRS determination letter.
  • The organization must not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, national origin, handicap, sexual orientation, marital status, gender or gender identity in any program or activities receiving public funds.
  • The applicant must be in good standing in accordance with ArtsErie’s grant performance requirements and must have provided all contract reporting required to date.
  • The project must be open to the general public.
  • The project must occur between October 1, 2012 and October 31, 2013.

8 copies of the application that have been 3-hole punched must be hand-delivered to ArtsErie by August 15, 2012 by 4 p.m. or postmarked that date.  No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
